Preparing for Harvest: What's Coming to Rafter 8 Market Farm This Spring

Spring is in full swing at Rafter 8 Market Farm, and that means it's time to prepare for a season of abundance! The hard work of planting, nurturing, and tending to our farm is starting to pay off, and we’re excited to share what’s coming soon.

Fresh Produce on the Way

Our vegetable gardens are thriving, and we are looking forward to offering a variety of fresh, farm-grown goodness. Some of the crops nearing harvest include:

• Leafy greens like lettuce, kale, and spinach, perfect for fresh salads.

• Root vegetables such as carrots, beets, and radishes, full of flavor and nutrients.

• Early tomatoes, which are starting to ripen and will soon be ready for picking.

Eggs, Poultry & Pork

Our laying hens have been busy, and we continue to offer fresh, pasture-raised eggs packed with rich flavor and nutrition.

Additionally, for our pork lovers, our pastured pigs are thriving, and we will have fresh cuts of pork coming soon, perfect for grilling as the weather warms up! For our valued poultry customers, we will have another batch growing out soon.

Preserving the Harvest

As we prepare for the peak of the season, we’re also making plans to preserve some of our harvest. We will be offering homemade canned goodies such as pickles, jams, and sauces, all made with love and care right here on the farm. Stay tuned for updates on when these will be available!
