We raise Iowa Black Beauty hogs, which are a cross between the Heritage breed Meishan and Berkshire hogs. They produce a red meat, that is well known for its flavor and quality, as well as fat cap. Our feeders are raised on pasture, sunshine and freshly milled non-soy, non-corn feed to produce a quality meat that isn't full of chemicals and other ingredients that we personally don't want on our own table. 
 
When purchasing a whole or half hog from us you have several options available and we strive to work with you to make sure that not only are you able to support a family farm, but also able to do that in a way that is much easier on your budget and schedule. 
 
When purchasing from us we will help you pick a hog that will be ready when you are; wether that is in the immediate future or 8 months down the road. We don't want the pressure of paying for your animal to be a hinderence to your ability to feed your family quality and delicious pork. 
 
You can also rest assured that you know exactly where your pork was born, raised and processed without fear of questionable grocery store labels or countries of origin. You are able to ask questions, visit the farm, and know that the pork that hits your table was cared for and cared about with the highest integrity.

The price of your half hog is all inclusive. It includes the price of the hog and the cost of Basic Cut Processing at our processor.  
 
Basic Cut Processing INCLUDES:
Bone in pork chops
Shoulder roasts
Mild breakfast sausage
Bacon
Cured hams 
 
Additional options are available, but any additional cost to the Basic Cuts will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions. 
 
**We produce a limited number of feeder hogs a year, so getting on the waiting list early is a must!**

Our gardens are naturally grown and chemical and pesticide free. 
Our animals are all fed a very natural diet of pasture, and corn & soy free feed mixtures we have freshly milled. 
Our animals are raised in a humane and natural way, on pasture and sunshine and a really great feed program.
 
Our goal is to have live weights averaging 300 lbs on day of delivery to processor.  If we feel that the hog isn't going to make weight we will discuss with you before proceeding with processing. We want our customers to be pleased with the product they get from us so that you continue to come back for your pork needs.
